My life’s mission is to inspire a love of learning. I believe that engagement is the key to academic success and that all students can learn when provided relevant, interesting contexts for learning. After starting my career as an elementary school teacher, I’ve spent the last decade as a curriculum developer for major publishers, nonprofits, ed tech companies, and school districts. In all the work I do, my goal is to create engaging experiences that inspire students to love learning and teachers to love teaching.
My work has included:
Creating hands-on, integrated curriculum for grades Pre-K through 12, working on projects from design-thinking-based entrepreneurship curriculum to nationally-adopted math curriculum.
Working as the Learning Design Manager at Education.com, creating and leading the creation of thousands of online educational activities for kids in preschool through 5th grade.
Guiding the educational content of videos for Teaching Channel and Edutopia.
Developing curricular supports for English Language Learners, supporting all students to succeed, no matter their language proficiency.
