Ever since I was a kid, I have been dreaming about how to make school more interesting and relevant. As a kid, I remember feeling detached and disengaged from school, so I have devoted my career to making sure all kids are empowered to enjoy learning.
Holding an M.A. in Education and Elementary School Teaching Certification, I studied at UC Berkeley’s Developmental Teacher Education Program.
After spending seven years as an elementary school teacher designing and testing diverse interactive learning experiences, I’ve spent the last decade as a curriculum developer for major publishers, nonprofits, ed tech companies, and school districts, such as:
- Working as the Learning Design Manager at Education.com, creating and leading the creation of thousands of online educational activities for kids in preschool through 5th grade.
- Writing articles for BabyCenter, Forbes, Women’s Day, and more.
- Developing curricular support for English Language Learners, supporting all students to succeed, no matter their language proficiency.
- Creating hands-on, integrated curriculum for grades Pre-K through 12, working on projects from design-thinking-based entrepreneurship curriculum to nationally-adopted math curriculum.
- Guiding the educational content of videos for Teaching Channel and Edutopia.
- Founding Educator Forever, where I empower teachers to expand their impact beyond the classroom.
In all the work I do, my goal is to create engaging experiences that inspire students to love learning and teachers to love teaching.
That’s why I founded Educator Forever Agency: to create a meeting point for those who believe that hands-on, authentic education can achieve both.
